Our office is inside the Edakkalathoor building, located in Mattom Post near Trichur. Being so close to Guruvayur means there is always some movement around here. It is not a very big space, but it fits what we need for the engineering and tech side of things. Most of us commute in from the surrounding villages, so the morning starts with a lot of talk about the traffic on the way. The building itself is older, but it stays cool enough during the afternoon heat. We spend a lot of time looking at screens and talking over plans. There is a stack of old manuals in the corner that nobody has touched in years, but they stay there anyway. We usually have the windows open to catch a breeze, though sometimes the noise from the street gets a bit much. It is a practical setup. We have our desks, the computers, and a small area where we keep the kettle for tea. It’s not the kind of place with shiny glass walls or fancy rugs. We just come in, do the work that needs doing, and head home when the sun starts to go down. The neighborhood is friendly, and most of the other shop owners around Mattom know us by name. It feels like a good spot to be for this kind of work and we plan on staying here.
