Anjaly Engineering Works

Anjaly Engineering Works is located at Shop No. 1 on Bhandari Street in Koratty, near the Gol Deval Temple and Kathikudam Post. This is a small workshop where we do a lot of metal fabrication and repair work. If you walk by, you will likely see us welding something or cutting through iron bars. It is a loud environment with the sound of grinders and hammers hitting metal. We make things like window grills, gates, and small machine parts. The shop is quite small, so we often have to do the bigger jobs right out on the edge of the street. Our clothes always have little burn holes from the sparks, and our hands are usually black from the soot. We don't have a computer or a website; we just use a notebook to keep track of orders. The Gol Deval Temple is right nearby, so there are always people walking past, and we often stop to chat with the neighbors. It gets very hot in here during the summer months, especially when the welding torch is running all day. We just do basic engineering work for the local community. If something made of metal is broken, we usually find a way to patch it up or make a new one. It is a simple life and we have been doing it this way for a long time. We open early in the morning and stay until the sun goes down and the street gets quiet.
