Jo Steel is situated in Thottippal Village, right off N.H. 47. Being so close to the highway means we get a lot of people stopping by to ask about materials. It is a simple setup we have here. We deal with steel in all sorts of forms. Sometimes it is for building houses, other times it is for smaller projects. The village is quiet but the highway is always loud with trucks and cars. We have a small yard where we keep our stock. It is not always perfectly organized, but we know where everything is located. We do not have any big corporate goals. We just want to provide what people need and make a living. Most of the people who work here are from around the village. We know our neighbors and they know us. We do not use fancy sales tactics. We just tell you the price and when you can pick it up. Sometimes we stay late if a big truck is coming in with a delivery. The sun can be quite harsh out here in the open, so we try to do the heavy lifting in the mornings. We have been at this spot on N.H. 47 for years now. It is a familiar routine. We wake up, open the gates, and start moving steel. It is not a glamorous life, but it is an honest one. We have a small dog that hangs around the yard and barks at the trucks. He is harmless, just likes attention. We are just glad to be staying busy.
