We are located in the Town Hall Shopping Complex in Chalakudy. Kallingal Metals & Glass Pvt. Ltd. is actually tucked inside the complex at Thsf-66. K R Davis is the person who looks after things here. Being in a shopping complex means there is always people walking past and a lot of noise from the street. We handle a lot of glass which means we have to be really careful. One wrong move and everything breaks, so it is a bit stressful sometimes. The metal pieces are heavy too. It’s a small space but we make it work for what we need. Chalakudy is a busy town and being near the Town Hall means we are right in the middle of it. We have been operating out of this C/O K R Davis spot for a while. You can see the glass sheets leaning against the walls if you walk by our shop. We don't have any big signs or anything, just the stuff we sell. Most people find us because they are already at the shopping complex for other things. We talk to the other shop owners and keep things moving. It’s just a regular local business. We open up early and stay until the complex gets quiet in the evening. There is always something to cut or move around in our little corner of the building. We try to keep the dust off the glass but in a place like this, it is a constant battle.
