Iramdam Food And Beverage Industries Private Limited is run by the family, with Salam Gandhar Singh’s place being our main point of contact. It’s a busy little spot. We started this because we wanted to do something with the food and drinks we make here in Manipur. The kitchen area is usually quite loud with the sound of equipment and people talking. We don't have a big factory, just a decent space where we get things done. It can get a bit messy when we’re in the middle of a big batch, but that’s just how it is. We make stuff that we like to eat ourselves. It’s not some mass-produced thing from a giant corporation. We use the recipes we know. Some days the supply of ingredients is short, so we have to wait, and other days we have too much and everyone is working late. It’s a bit of a juggle. We don’t really have a fancy front office for meetings. Usually, we just talk in the workspace or near the door. Kakching is a good place for this kind of work because people here appreciate good food. We’re just trying to keep the business running and maybe provide some jobs for the neighbors. It’s a lot of handwork and checking things over and over to make sure they're right.
