Shrikarra Vidhya Mandhir

Shrikarra Vidhya Mandhir is located along the Madurai Tirunelveli Highways in the Lakshmipuram area of Kovilpatti. Because we are right on the highway, it is very easy for people to find us, though we have to be careful with the traffic. The school serves the local community in 628502 and some of the surrounding villages. We have a basic school building with several classrooms and a bit of open ground around it. The wind can get quite strong here sometimes since we are in a more open area near the road. Our staff consists of local teachers who come in every day to teach the kids. We don't have much in the way of luxury, just the necessary desks, boards, and books. The day starts early to beat the heat of the Tamil Nadu sun. We focus on the regular school schedule, moving through the lessons and having a short break in the middle of the day. Many of our students come by bus or are dropped off by their parents on their way to work. It is a practical, no-nonsense environment. We just provide a place for learning here in Kovilpatti. We have been part of this landscape for some time and just keep doing our work day after day without much fuss.
