New Holow Bricks

Our place, New Holow Bricks, sits right along the Nh Bypass Road in Tiruvalam. The address is Gurupushpam T/C 68/2475(3), but if you just drive down the bypass, you can’t miss the stacks of hollow blocks. Being near the highway means there is always a lot of dust and noise from the heavy trucks passing by all night and day. We started this because there was a need for hollow bricks for all the new construction happening around here. It is a tough job, mixing and molding everything and then letting them set. Sometimes the mix isn't just right and we have to start over. It’s part of the process. We have a small crew and we all know each other pretty well. We eat our lunch together under the shade when it gets too hot. People coming from Tiruvalam Po often stop by to see the sizes we have. We don’t do a lot of talking about standards or technical specs, we just make sure the bricks look solid and don't break when you move them. The bypass makes it easy for us to send stuff out to different sites, even though the traffic can be a nightmare sometimes. It is just a regular work site with dirt on the floor and heavy lifting to do. We keep at it because it’s what we know how to do best and the road keeps things busy.
