Fab Silk From God'S Own Country Private Limited

Our shop is called Fab Silk From God's Own Country, which is a bit of a long name but we liked it. We are located at TC 51/1022, Kalluvettikuzhy Nivas in the Pappanamcode area of Thiruvananthapuram. It is basically a house that we use for the business. Being in a residential part of Kerala makes things feel a bit more relaxed. We deal with silk because that is what people around here want for weddings and big family functions. It’s not a shiny showroom with glass walls. It is more like coming into someone’s living room where there just happens to be a lot of fabric. The area around Pappanamcode is nice, though the roads get a bit crowded during the morning rush. We spend a lot of time folding up silk pieces and making sure the colors stay bright. Sometimes we have tea with the people who come in because they are usually our neighbors or friends of friends. We don't have a website or anything fancy like that. Most of what we do is just through people knowing where we are. It’s a quiet life at Kalluvettikuzhy Nivas. We keep the place open during the day and usually close up once it starts getting dark. Thiruvananthapuram can be quite humid, so we try to keep the fans going all the time so the silk stays in good shape. It's a small, honest operation we've got here.
