Feathers

We are located right in the middle of Kazhakootam. It’s a simple shop, and we’ve been here for a bit now. People in the area know the name Feathers, even if we don't have a massive neon sign or anything. We mostly deal with everyday items and clothes, trying to keep a good variety on the shelves. It’s just a few of us working here, so we do everything from cleaning the windows to talking to the regulars. Kazhakootam is growing fast, but we try to keep things feeling like a local spot. Some days are slow, and we just sit and watch the street, but other times it gets crowded and we’re running around. We don't have a complicated backstory. We just wanted to open a place that served the local community. We try to keep things organized, but on busy days, the racks can get a little messy. It’s part of the job. We enjoy being here and seeing the same faces every week. It feels good when someone finds exactly what they were looking for. We aren't trying to compete with the big malls. We just provide a friendly place to shop without all the extra noise. If you’re passing through Kazhakootam, you’ll find us easily enough. We’re usually around from morning until late evening, just doing our thing and helping out where we can.
