We are situated at Door Number 79 in S.V.K. Puram, right near the Finger Post area in Ooty. Being up here in the hills of Tamil Nadu, the weather is almost always a bit chilly, which we like. The office is a simple place where we manage the club memberships and the local activities. Most of us have lived in Ooty for a long time, so we are used to the winding roads and the tourists that flock here during the season. The building isn't anything modern; it’s just a solid structure that has seen many winters. We spend a lot of time on the phone or talking to members who drop by to ask about their stays. Sometimes the mist comes down so thick you can’t see the road outside the window. We usually have a kettle going for tea because of the cold. It’s a slow pace of life compared to Chennai or Bangalore, but we still have plenty to do. We deal with the paperwork and make sure the facilities are in order. The staff here knows everyone’s name. We aren't trying to be the biggest or the flashiest. We just keep the place tidy and answer the questions that come our way. It’s just us working out of this small corner of Ooty, doing our bit every day to keep things moving.
