Alathur Exports

We are located out at No. 4/302 Main Road in Alathur. It’s a bit of a drive from the bigger cities, but we like it that way. Being near the Alathur P. O. in Pattukkottai Tk makes it easy for us to handle the smaller mailings, though most of what Alathur Exports does involves much larger loads. The building is right on the main road, so we see everyone passing by throughout the day. We don't have a lot of staff, just a few local folks who know how to handle the equipment. The office is pretty basic, with some old chairs and a calendar that’s usually a month behind. We don't spend our time in meetings or writing reports. Instead, we are usually out back checking the pallets or talking to the drivers. The breeze comes in off the fields sometimes and cools the place down, which is nice. We handle the exports for various items, and we've learned the hard way how to pack things so they don't break on the rougher roads. It’s a simple business model. We get the items, we check them over, and we send them on their way. It’s not glamorous, but it keeps us occupied. If you stop by, you’ll probably find us covered in dust or drinking a quick cup of tea. It’s just how things are out here in our part of town, and we wouldn't change it.
