Munshi Ceramic Industries

We have been here at Navagam Road for quite a while now. Most people find us by looking for the Maruti Way Bridge and then just heading behind it. It's a bit of a dusty spot, but that's what happens when you work with ceramics all day long. My father started things off with a couple of kilns and a few workers who really knew their way around clay. Now, we have more machines, but the noise and the heat in the back remain pretty much the same. We don't spend much time on fancy decorations in the front office. Usually, there are just stacks of tile samples and maybe some cracked pieces sitting in the corner that we haven't thrown out yet. It gets busy during the monsoon when everyone wants to fix their floors. Sometimes the trucks get stuck on the narrow road leading up to the gate, and we all have to go out and help the driver navigate. It is just part of the daily routine here. We drink a lot of tea while looking at order sheets. If you stop by, you will probably see us covered in a bit of white dust. We aren't trying to be anything big or famous, just keeping the production going and making sure the orders go out to the local builders. It’s hard work, but it's what we know how to do behind the bridge.
