Yashoda Engineering Works

We’re located right near the Indal Aluminium plant in Ganpati Pada, just off the Belapur Road in Kalwa. It’s an industrial sort of neighborhood, so we fit right in with our lathes and welding gear. The shop is usually humming with the sound of the machines, and you can smell the cut metal from the street. We’ve been at this Ganpati Pada spot for quite a while now, and we’ve seen the road outside get busier every year. The office is just a tiny corner with a desk and a computer that’s mostly used for looking up parts. Most of our day is spent standing on the concrete floor, working on whatever project has come in that morning. It’s a bit cluttered with scraps of iron and old projects that were never picked up, but we know where everything is. The walls are stained with soot and the lighting isn’t the best, but it’s where we do our best work. We don't have a marketing team or a fancy website; we just have our tools and our hands. People from the nearby factories often drop by when they need something made or repaired quickly. We take a break when the tea guy comes around, and then it’s back to the noise and the heat until the sun goes down. It is hard work but it keeps us busy.
