Vitthal Krupa Hospital

We are located in Kalyan, which is a huge and busy city to be in. Our hospital is just one of many buildings on the street, but we have been here long enough that people know the name. The building we are in has seen better days, but it is solid and does the job. Inside, the floors are made of that old grey stone that stays cool even when it is boiling outside. We have a small reception desk where one of us sits to talk to people when they walk in. There is always a stack of papers to be sorted and files to be put away. Kalyan is a place where nobody really stops moving, and it feels like that inside the hospital too. We are constantly checking on people or cleaning up after a long day. The light comes in through the high windows in the morning, which is the best time of day here before it gets too loud outside. We have a few benches in the hall for families to sit on. They are made of wood and have been worn smooth over the years. We don't have any big slogans or fancy promises. We just open the doors in the morning, do what needs to be done, and try to keep things running as smoothly as we can until we close up at night. It is a long day every day, but we are used to it and the rhythm of the city.
