Vitthal Krupa Hospital

Our hospital is in Kalyan East, tucked into Ram Apartment on Chinchpada Road. We are at H N 3/57. If you are looking for us, we are right near Apna Medical, which is a good landmark for people who aren't from this specific block. The road outside, Chinchpada Road, is almost always jammed with rickshaws and bikes. Inside the apartment building, it feels a bit different. We converted the space to work as a hospital, so the layout is a little unusual compared to a purpose-built clinic. We have rooms for patients and a small area where we keep all the medicine and records. It gets a bit hot in the summer because the building doesn't get much of a breeze, so we rely on the ceiling fans quite a lot. The walls are covered in some old charts and calendars. We know the people at Apna Medical well since we see them every day across the way. There is a small gate at the entrance of the apartment that sometimes squeaks when it opens. We don't have a lot of fancy furniture. Most of it is metal or plastic because it is easier to keep clean. It is a busy life here in Kalyan East, and we just try to keep up with everything that comes through the door. Some days are harder than others, but we manage to get through it. We spend a lot of time just refilling supplies and talking to the families.
