Sea Cottons

We set up Sea Cottons here in Praktan Pawar Nagar, right in Thane West. It’s a pretty active neighborhood with lots of families and other small shops. The building we are in isn't brand new, but it works fine for what we need. Working with cotton means there’s always a bit of lint in the air, so we’re always sweeping up. We have a few rooms dedicated to different parts of the process. Thane can get really humid, which sometimes affects how we handle the materials, but we manage. People often ask why we stayed in this specific part of Praktan Pawar Nagar, and it’s mostly because it’s convenient for the workers to get to. There’s a lot of traffic on the main roads nearby, so we’re glad to be tucked away a little bit. We keep our supplies organized on metal racks. It’s not a showroom by any means. It’s just where the actual work happens every single day. We have a small crew and everyone knows what they're doing. Some of us have been working together for many years now. We usually start early in the morning before the sun gets too hot. It’s a simple routine. We check the stock, finish the sewing, and get things ready for delivery. It’s just how life goes for us here. No big corporate meetings or anything, just figuring out the day's tasks over a quick breakfast. We like the local vibe of Thane West. It keeps us grounded and busy.
