Our office is at 101 Devashree Gardens Commercial Complex, right on R.W. Sawant Marg in Majiwada, Thane West. Assam Bombay Carriers is all about moving things from one place to another, so the phone never really stops ringing. It’s a bit of a loud office because there’s always someone talking to a driver or checking on a shipment. We have maps on the walls and piles of logbooks on the desks. Majiwada is a good spot for us because it’s a main hub, even if the traffic on R.W. Sawant Marg can be a nightmare sometimes. We aren't sitting around in a quiet library. It’s a working environment with a lot of energy. We’ve got a small crew who knows the routes by heart. We don’t have a fancy lobby or a receptionist in a uniform. You just walk in and see us working. Sometimes the air conditioner makes a weird noise, and the tea guy comes by twice a day. It’s just how we run things. We focus on getting the trucks where they need to go and making sure the paperwork is done so there are no delays at the borders. It’s honest work that keeps us on our toes. We’ve been in this complex for a good while, and we’ve seen a lot of changes in the neighborhood, but our job stays the same—getting goods from A to B. It keeps us busy from morning till night.
