You can find us over at Neelkanth Jyot in Dombivli East. We have units 2A and 3A, which gives us enough room to spread out our files, though it still feels a bit cramped when it’s peak season. Tilak Nagar is a nice enough area, and being near Tilak School means we hear the bell ring every now and then, which helps us keep track of the time. The building itself is an older one, so it has that specific smell of concrete and old paper. Most of our day is spent sitting behind desks covered in calculators and ledgers. We don't really do much in terms of decor; there are just some calendars on the walls and maybe a photo or two. The walk from the station isn't too bad, but in the monsoon, the puddles around here can be tricky. We usually have the radio playing softly in the background just to break the silence while we’re typing. It’s a quiet life for the most part, focusing on the work at hand. People sometimes pop in just to ask a quick question or drop off a folder. We try to keep things moving along, even when the paperwork starts piling up toward the end of the month. It’s a basic office for people who just want to get their things sorted out without any fuss. We’ve been in this spot long enough that the local chai wallah knows exactly when to bring our tea.
