Tate Hospital

We are located on the ground floor of the Sukh Angan Apartment in Nalasopara West. It is right opposite the railway station, which means the noise of the trains and the announcement speakers is something we hear all day long. The area is incredibly crowded. People are always rushing past the front door to catch their trains. Because we are in an apartment building, it does not look like a traditional hospital from the outside. It is more of a converted space. We have F 1 as our unit number. The space is a bit cramped, and we have to be very organized with how we use the rooms. We have some chairs in the hallway for people to wait, but it gets full very quickly. The walls are thin, so you can hear the neighbors sometimes. It is a very local setup. Most of our patients come from the surrounding apartment blocks or are just passing through from the station. The floor is tiled and we try to keep it clean despite all the dust coming in from the street. We do not have a big parking lot or anything like that, so people usually just walk or get dropped off by an auto-rickshaw. It is a busy, noisy, and very real part of the neighborhood. We just do our best with the space we have and get through the daily schedule.
