You can find Tarun Steel & Alloys at Office No-227 inside the Ashoka Super Market building. We are up on the second floor, right on S V Road in Goregaon West. If you’ve ever been to Goregaon, you know how busy S V Road gets. It’s constant noise and movement outside our windows. The office itself is quite old-fashioned. We have heavy wooden desks and filing cabinets that have seen better days. We deal with steel and alloys, so there’s always talk about grades and weights and delivery schedules. It’s a lot of back-and-forth on the phone. We don’t have a fancy showroom; if you want to see what we have, you usually just look at the catalogs or we take you to the warehouse. Being in the super market building is convenient because we can just run downstairs for snacks or supplies. We’ve been in this same spot for years, and the walls are covered with old calendars. It’s a bit cramped when we have visitors, but we make it work. Most of our customers have been buying from us for a long time, so they don’t mind the lack of polish. We just focus on getting orders right and making sure trucks are loaded correctly. There’s always a faint smell of diesel from the buses. We have an old ceiling fan that wobbles a bit when it’s on the highest setting. It's not the quietest place to work, but we've gotten used to the honking. It’s a basic, functional way to run a business.
