Our office is in Navi Mumbai, specifically in Kalamboli at the Shree Siddhnath Apartments. We’re in Plot 27, room 405, which is on the fourth floor. It’s a basic residential-cum-commercial building, so it’s nothing too fancy. We work with food products, mostly focusing on how to get them from the producers into the hands of retailers in the Thane and Mumbai areas. It’s a lot of logistical work. We spend hours on the phone and even more hours dealing with the paperwork that comes with the food industry. There’s always a new form to fill out or a permit to renew. The office itself is pretty simple—just some desks, a couple of chairs, and a lot of samples of whatever we’re currently moving. We don’t have a big staff. It’s just us doing the daily grind. Sometimes we have to head out to the warehouses in the industrial zones nearby to check on the stock ourselves. The traffic in Navi Mumbai can be tough, so we plan our days around the peak hours to avoid getting stuck for too long. We aren’t trying to be some massive food conglomerate. We just want to run a reliable business that supports our families. We’ve been here for a few years now and have a good handle on how the local market moves. It’s not exciting work, but it’s consistent and we take it seriously in our own way.
