Smart Solutions India is situated at Shop No- 1 in Beturkar Pada, right across from the Piyush Medical General Stores in Kalyan West. It is a busy little corner of the street. Being opposite the medical store means we see people passing by all day long. Our shop is a bit narrow, so we have to be careful how we stack the boxes. We handle a lot of different tech issues, from mobile phones that won't charge to computers that have slowed down to a crawl. I have a small stool behind the counter where I sit and work on gadgets under a bright desk lamp. There is usually some soft music playing on a small radio in the background. We have a few glass cases where we keep some chargers and phone covers, but mostly it's just a place for repairs. The front door squeaks a little when it opens, but we’ve gotten used to the sound. Sometimes people just pop in to ask for directions or to see if we can fix something unusual they found in their attic. It’s a friendly spot and we know most of the other shopkeepers on the block. We don't have any corporate rules or anything, we just try to be helpful to whoever walks in from the street. It gets a bit hot in the afternoons, so we keep a small fan running near the door.
