Our spot is in Hanuman Colony, right behind the old Vital Mandir in Katemanvali. This is in Kalyan East. If you know the temple, you can find us easily. The colony is a bit crowded, and the lanes can be tight. We deal with metal, so there is always the sound of clinking and moving heavy parts. The office is basically just a room with a sturdy table and some ledgers. We have been here for a long time, and the temple bells are a constant background noise for our workday. It is a good reminder of where we are. We handle various types of metal, mostly focusing on scrap or small parts that local shops need. It is a very local operation. We don't have a corporate structure. It is just a few of us making sure the inventory is right. When the monsoon hits, the lanes get muddy and we have to be careful about the stock getting wet. We spend a lot of time talking to the transporters who try to navigate their small trucks through the colony roads. It is a bit of a struggle sometimes, but we always manage. We know the tea seller around the corner and the other shop owners nearby. We are just part of the neighborhood. People stop by to chat about the market or just to say hello. It is a simple, hardworking life in Kalyan.
