Shree Sai Hospital

Shree Sai Hospital is situated in Gokul Nagari I which is part of the Thakur Complex in Kandivali East. We are right by the Western Express Highway which means we hear the trucks and cars zooming by all day and night. It’s a very busy part of Mumbai. The hospital is tucked into the ground floor area of the Gokul Nagari buildings. It’s a residential neighborhood mostly so we see a lot of families from the nearby flats. We have beds for people who need to stay over and a small area for emergencies. It isn't like those massive hospitals you see in the movies. It’s smaller and more contained. The staff lives nearby usually so we all know each other pretty well. We spend a lot of time cleaning and making sure things are in the right spot. The hallways are narrow and we have to be careful when moving stretchers around. Because we are so close to the highway people often stop in if they have an accident or just feel sick while traveling. The lighting is that standard hospital white and it can feel a bit stark but we try to make it okay for the patients. We don't have a big marketing budget or a fancy website. Most people just walk in because they saw the sign while walking their dog or driving to work. It is a practical place for the local community.
