We are based in Rajewadi, right near the Shambho Mahadev Temple. It’s a quiet place, and our company, Shivbhave Jeevseva Adivasi Agro Farmers, is run from Maruti Gunaji Sabale’s place. We focus on the Adivasi farmers in this area around Pokhari. Life here is tied to the land, and we wanted a way to work together to protect our interests. We aren't professional businessmen with ties and suits. We are farmers who know the hills and the fields. Our work is practical. We help each other with seeds and figure out how to get our produce to the markets without losing money. It’s a community thing more than a corporate thing. Being near the temple, we see a lot of people passing through, but our focus stays on the soil. We don't use flashy words to describe what we do. We just grow what we can and try to help the local families. Some days are hard, especially when the rain doesn't come, but we have each other. It’s a simple way of living and working. We just want to keep our traditions and our farming going for the next generation in Pokhari. We don't have much in the way of fancy equipment, but we make do with what we have. It’s about sticking together and making sure the harvest is enough to get by. That's our daily life here.
