If you ever walk down New Golden Nest Road in Bhayandar East, you’ll find us at Shop No. 6 in Mukund Tower. Shivam Sweethome Llp is right across from the Shiv Darshan Tower. We open up early in the morning because that’s when people want their fresh sweets and snacks before they start their day. It’s a small shop but it gets very crowded, especially during the festivals. We spend a lot of time in the back making batches of traditional sweets. It’s hot and sticky work, but seeing the trays full of fresh items makes it worth it. We aren't a big chain of stores. We just have this one spot and we put all our energy into it. Sometimes we run out of something popular and customers get a bit disappointed, but we try to keep up with the demand. The road outside is always loud with rickshaws and people shopping, so there’s never a quiet moment. We’ve been here for a while and we know most of our neighbors. It’s a simple life, running a sweet shop. We don’t have any big corporate goals, just keeping the shelves stocked and the floor swept. It’s a lot of standing on your feet all day, but we like being part of the daily routine for the people living in the towers nearby. It feels like we are part of the street.
