Satkar Footwear

I’ve been working at Satkar Footwear for quite a while now. We are located at Shop Number 2 in Shweta Apartment, right here in Bhayander East. It is a pretty straightforward place. If you know where Rajesh Hotel is, we are just a short walk from there. Every morning starts with pulling up the shutter and sweeping the front. The dust around here never seems to stop, so cleaning is a big part of the day. We have stacks of boxes everywhere. Mostly sandals, school shoes, and some casual slippers that people around here like. It gets really busy in the evenings when everyone is coming home from work. The fans stay on all day because it gets quite warm inside. Sometimes the light in the back flickers, but we haven't gotten around to fixing it yet. Customers come in, try on a few pairs, and we chat about the weather or how the trains are running. It isn’t anything fancy. Just a small shop with a lot of shoes and a lot of familiar faces. We try to keep things organized but sometimes the sizes get mixed up when we are busy. It’s just how it goes. We stay open until late, then we pack everything back up and head home. It’s a simple life running a shoe shop in this part of town. Most of the people who come in live right in the neighborhood.
