Zim Integrated Shipping Services

Zim Integrated Shipping Services is tucked into A-12 of the Jagdamba Co-operative Housing Society. We are located on the 4th Cross Road along Rajaji Path in Dombivli East. It is a bit unusual for a global shipping name to be in a regular residential society, but that is just how we have it set up here. The office feels very much like a part of the neighborhood. You see the residents going about their business while we are inside dealing with container movements and shipping schedules. Dombivli can be a long haul for some, but Rajaji Path is a familiar spot for us. The office itself is pretty simple. We have desks, some filing cabinets for the bills of lading, and plenty of pens that always seem to go missing. There isn't any corporate art on the walls, just maybe a calendar and some notes tacked up. We handle a lot of the logistical side of things from this room. Sometimes the neighbors come by to chat, or we hear the kids playing outside in the society compound during the evenings. It is a grounded way to work in an industry as big as shipping. We do not need a skyscraper to manage the files. Being in Jagdamba CHS keeps things feeling local and honest. It is just a group of us working through the daily lists of arrivals and departures, making sure the paperwork is sorted before the day ends. We keep the fans running high when it gets humid.
