Saraswati Hindi High School

Saraswati Hindi High School is located in Section No 26 of Ulhasnagar No 4. Our specific spot is Barrack No 1659. If you know this part of Thane, you know the barracks have a lot of history. They weren't originally built to be schools, but we’ve turned this one into a place for learning over the years. The rooms have high ceilings and the walls are thick, which helps a bit with the heat. It’s a Hindi medium school, so things are kept very traditional and straightforward. We don't have flashy signs or expensive decorations. Most of what we have is functional and has been used by many students before. The area around Section 26 is quite dense, with houses and small shops packed together. You can hear the neighbors and the local vendors going about their day. Sometimes a ball goes over the wall and someone has to go fetch it from the street. It’s a very grounded environment. We deal with the usual problems like leaky pipes or peeling paint after a heavy rain, but we fix things as we go. It’s a real place for real people in Ulhasnagar. The walk to the school through the narrow lanes is something the kids do every day without thinking twice. We are just part of the fabric of this old neighborhood, sitting right there at Barrack No 1659. It’s quiet inside once the bell rings.
