Started the school here on Atali Main Road in Ambivali quite some time back. It is a busy stretch of road and things get loud with the traffic passing through Thane, but inside the gates, it is mostly just the sound of kids and teachers. We have a simple building. It isn't anything fancy or modern with glass walls, just regular rooms where we try to get through the syllabus. Mornings start early. I usually get here before the first bus, just to check if the fans are working and the water tanks are full. The humidity in this part of Thane can be a lot, especially in the afternoons when the sun hits the front of the school. Students come from all over the local area. Some walk, some take the rickshaws. We know most of the parents by name because they stop by to talk about their kids or just to see how things are going. It’s a lot of work keeping up with the repairs and the paperwork from the board. Sometimes the roof leaks a bit during the heavy rains, so we fix it and move on. There isn't much to say other than we show up every day and do what needs to be done. It is just a local school trying to help the neighborhood kids learn a bit of English and get through their exams without too much trouble. We don't have a big office or anything, just a few desks and some old files.
