Sankalp Thread Industries

Our small factory, Sankalp Thread Industries, is located in Gala No. 1 within the Gulab Compound. It’s in the Rajiv Nagar area, right behind the Shiva Prabha Society. It can be a little tricky to find if you’re not from around here, but once you’re in the compound, we are easy to spot. We spend our days surrounded by machines and thread of every color you can imagine. It’s a noisy place when the machines are running, but we’ve grown to like the sound. It means we’re getting work done. I started this business because I’ve always been interested in how things are made. It’s not a glamorous job. There’s a lot of maintenance to do on the equipment, and things sometimes break at the worst possible time. But we fix them up and keep going. We have a small crew of workers who have been with us for a long time. We’re more like a family than a company, really. We eat lunch together and help each other out when things get hectic. We don’t have a big marketing budget or a fancy showroom. Our work speaks for itself, and most people find out about us because a friend told them. We just try to make a decent product and treat people fairly. It’s a simple way of doing things, but it’s the only way we know how. We keep the machines humming and the threads moving every single day.
