Safalkrushi Udyog Farmer Producer

We are located at Gut No. 75 in Aurala, which is a part of the Kannad area. It’s a pretty rural spot, mostly surrounded by hills and fields. Safalkrushi Udyog is basically just a group of us who decided to pool our resources and see if we could do better as a collective. We spend a lot of time out at the site, which isn't much more than a sturdy building and some storage space. Kannad can be a tough place for farming when the rains are late, so we spend a lot of time worrying about water and soil quality. There isn't any air conditioning here, just the breeze coming through the open doors. Most of our meetings happen standing up or sitting on crates. We talk about seeds, the cost of diesel, and which markets are buying this week. It is a very down-to-earth way of doing things. We don't have a polished image or a big advertising budget. We just have our names and our reputations in the local community. Everyone knows everyone else around Aurala, so we have to be honest and straightforward. Sometimes the work is slow and frustrating, but we keep at it because it’s what we know. We are just local farmers trying to make a living and keep our land productive for the next generation. It’s simple, honest work at Gut No. 75. We just get on with it.
