S.S.Steel Makers

We’ve been here at Petrol Pump Link Rd. for quite some time now. Most people around Ganpati Pada know where the shop is because of the constant noise from the metal cutters. It’s a busy place. We mostly deal with basic steel fabrication, making things that people need for their houses or small shops. Sometimes it’s a gate, other times it’s just some brackets or frames. The floor is usually covered in metal shavings and we spend a lot of time measuring things twice just so we don't mess up the cut. It’s hot work, especially in the afternoons, but we get through it. My brother and I started this because we knew how to weld and there was a gap for this kind of work in the neighborhood. We don’t have a big fancy office or anything like that. Just the workshop and a small desk where we keep the bills. People stop by, tell us what they need, and we give them a rough idea of when it’ll be ready. It’s not always pretty, but the stuff we make is solid. We use whatever steel is available that fits the job. If the rain comes down hard, we have to move some of the machines inside so they don't get rusty. It is just a normal day-to-day business where we try to keep the machines running and the orders moving out the door. Nothing too complicated really. Just a lot of grinding and sparks.
