Ravi Hospital

Being located in Anand Nagar, specifically near Platform No. 1 in Vasai West, means there is never really a quiet moment at Ravi Hospital. You can hear the local trains pulling into the station all day and night. It’s a very busy part of the city, and our building sits right in the middle of all that movement. We have been here for a while, and most of the neighbors know us by name. The hospital isn't one of those glass skyscrapers you see in the magazines. It’s a practical building that has seen a lot of use over the years. Inside, the floors are clean but you can see where people have walked for years. We have different rooms for patients and a small area where families can sit and wait, though it often gets crowded during visiting hours. The staff here are mostly from around Vasai, so we all speak the same way and know the local shortcuts. We don't use a lot of big words when talking to patients; we just explain what is happening with their health in plain English or the local language. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to switch over to the generator, which makes a loud humming sound. It’s just how things go around here. We just keep our heads down and do the work that needs to be done every day for the people in Anand Nagar who rely on us.
