We are located over at B 2 in the Shree Pushpanjali building, which is part of Namdeo Patil Wadi in Dombivli East. If you know the Gograswadi area, you know it’s a mix of homes and small businesses all packed together. Our place is basically where we handle all the can production. It gets pretty loud when the machines are running, so we usually have to shout to hear each other. The floor is concrete and always has that smell of metal and a bit of oil. It’s not the kind of place you’d wear nice clothes to. I’ve been working here for a long time, and I know every sound the machines make. When one sounds a bit off, I usually know exactly which bolt needs tightening. We aren't some giant corporation with fancy offices. We just have our desks near the front and the production area in the back. Most of our days are spent checking the inventory and making sure the cans are being made right. It’s steady work. Sometimes we have a lot of orders and we stay late, eating snacks from the stall down the road. Other days it’s a bit quieter and we can actually clean up the scrap metal. It’s just us doing what we know how to do, day in and day out. Dombivli is a busy place to be, but we’ve found our rhythm here. We just focus on getting the orders finished and out the door.
