Rahe Gujarati Snacks Private Limited

We run Rahe Gujarati Snacks Private Limited out of the Rajlaxmi Complex in Kalher. Specifically, we are in Building AH, units 11 and 12. Being in Bhiwandi means we are surrounded by other businesses, mostly textile and storage. Our days start very early because that’s when the frying needs to happen. We focus on traditional Gujarati snacks, the kind we grew up eating. The kitchen is the heart of our place. It’s loud and always smells like hot oil and gram flour. We don’t have a marketing department or anyone to write fancy brochures for us. We just make the food and pack it into plastic bags. Our staff is mostly people from the local neighborhood who know how these snacks should taste. Sometimes the salt isn't exactly the same in every batch, but that's because we aren't using big industrial machines for everything. We do a lot of it by hand. The Rajlaxmi Complex can be a bit confusing to navigate if you aren't used to it. We spend time loading crates onto the backs of small tempos to get them to the distributors. It’s hard work and your clothes always end up smelling like snacks at the end of the day. We are just a small team trying to keep the tradition going in this busy industrial hub. It keeps us on our feet all day long, but we like it.
