Our office is at 6 A 103 in Venkateshwara Nagar on Cabin Road. This is in Bhayander East, part of the Thane district. It is a very busy area, especially since we are not too far from the station side. The building is a typical one for this part of town. We are on the first floor, so we hear the sounds of the street and the people walking by all day long. R G Mehta Co has been operating from this small room for quite some time. We have our desks, some old computers, and a lot of ledgers piled up. It gets quite crowded when more than three people are in the room at once. We don't have a fancy lobby. You just walk in and we are right there working. The humidity in Thane can be tough on the papers, so we try to keep things tucked away in plastic folders. We usually eat our lunch at our desks while talking about whatever is on the news. Sometimes the water in the building is a bit low, or the lift stops working, so we just use the stairs. It is a very normal, everyday kind of place. We know the shopkeepers downstairs and say hello when we arrive in the morning. It’s a busy neighborhood but we’ve gotten used to the pace and the noise over the years.
