Quality Engineering Products is tucked into Plot No. 193 on Road No. 16-A in Wagle Estate. If you know this part of the estate, you know it’s a hub of activity with lots of small workshops and factories all lined up together. Our place is full of metal bits, tools, and machines that have been running for years. It’s not a sterile environment by any means; there’s oil on the floor in some spots and the sound of grinding metal is pretty common. We focus on engineering parts that other companies need to keep their own machines going. We don't have a fancy showroom. Usually, customers just walk right into the work area and we talk over the noise of the lathes. The staff here has a lot of experience with the machines, and we tend to fix things ourselves if something breaks down. Wagle Estate has changed a lot over time, but our corner of Road 16-A stays pretty much the same. We have our routines, like the morning tea and the way we organize the scrap metal out back. It’s a bit cramped inside because we try to keep a lot of stock on hand, but we know where everything is. It’s a practical, no-nonsense kind of business. We just put in the hours, make the parts, and make sure they’re ready when someone comes to pick them up.
