Our place is in the 304 Archana B Wing. This is over in Shri Ambika Nagar on MG Road in Dombivli West. Being on the west side means we deal with a lot of the usual station crowd if we head out during peak hours. The office isn't massive but it fits what we need. We have a few tables pushed together and some chairs that have seen better days. The light coming through the window hits the desks around three in the afternoon. It gets quite warm in the summer months so we keep the windows open mostly. It’s a typical Mumbai suburb vibe here. You hear the traffic from MG Road all day long. Sometimes the neighbor’s radio is a bit loud but nobody really complains. We just focus on the computer screens and the piles of documents we have to sort through. Working in Dombivli has its own rhythm. Most of us take the train and then walk from the station. It takes about ten minutes if you move fast. We try to keep things quiet so we can actually hear ourselves think. There is a small shop downstairs where we get our stationery and water. It is a very practical way to spend the day. We don’t have any big signs or flashing lights. Just the name on the door and our work inside. It works for us and the people who know where to find us. We often end the day by making sure all the lights are switched off.
