We are over at Kabadi House on Janardhan Vaity Marg in Thane. If you know the area, you know it’s a good spot for a building materials business like ours. We deal with the stuff that actually goes into making houses and buildings—nothing too fancy, just the basics that contractors and builders need every day. At Prayosa Buildmat, the day usually starts pretty early because the trucks like to beat the worst of the Thane traffic. It can be a bit of a mess in the yard sometimes with sand, bricks, or whatever else we’re moving that week. Our office inside Kabadi House is where we handle the paperwork, which there’s always a lot of. We aren't the type to wear suits or have long meetings. Usually, it’s just us talking to customers on the phone or over the counter, figuring out how much of what they need and when we can get it to them. Some days are slow and we just tidy up, while other days are so busy we barely have time to eat lunch. It’s a straightforward life, working with materials that you can actually touch and see being used in the new projects going up around Maharashtra. We just try to keep things moving and make sure our customers get what they paid for without too much trouble. It's dusty and loud, but it's what we know.
