Penkraft

Up on the fifth floor of Durga Niwas, you’ll find the Penkraft office. We are located at Tembhi Naka in Thane West, which is a very lively part of the city, especially being so close to the Jain Temple. It’s a bit of a climb or a wait for the lift, but once you’re in room 503, it’s a bit quieter than the street below. We spend our days surrounded by pens, papers, and various craft supplies. It’s not a sterile office environment at all; there are usually ink stains on the tables and sketches lying around. We focus on teaching and sharing skills that involve using your hands, like calligraphy or traditional art. It’s a messy process sometimes, but that’s how you learn. The people who come here are usually looking to try something new or get better at a hobby they already have. We don't have a big corporate structure here, just a few of us who really like what we do. The lighting in the room is good for working on small details, which is lucky because we spend hours doing just that. Sometimes we lose track of time when a project is going well. It’s a humble setup, but it’s where all the creative stuff happens. We like being in the heart of Thane where everything is accessible.
