Param Electricals & Paints

We are over at Shop No. 11 on the ground floor of the Golden Park Commercial Premises. It is a handy spot because we are right near L.B.S. Marg and just beside the ICICI Bank in Majiwada. The shop is pretty small, and we have filled every inch of it with electrical parts and cans of paint. Sometimes it’s hard to find a place to stand when we get a big delivery. We spend most of the day helping people find the right fuse or picking out a color for their living room walls. The noise from the traffic on L.B.S. Marg is constant, but you stop hearing it after a while. We know most of the people who live in the buildings around Majiwada because they come in whenever something breaks at home. The shelves are a bit dusty, and the floor has a few paint drips that won't come off, but that’s a hardware shop for you. We don't have a big staff, so if the phone rings while we are mixing paint, someone just has to wait. It’s a neighborhood place. We keep the doors open, and the local cats sometimes wander in to escape the heat. We don't do anything fancy, just sell what people need for their houses and try to keep track of the stock in the back room. It’s busy but it’s our daily life here.
