Patni Computers

We have been here at Patni Computers in Thane for quite a while now. Our spot is right by the Waghbill Naka area, pretty close to Suraj Water Park if you know the neighborhood. It is basically just us sitting in the shop near G B Road dealing with whatever computer problems people bring through the door. Some days it is really quiet and we just drink tea, and other days it feels like everyone in Mumbai has a broken laptop at the same time. We are located in the Pratahpushp building. It is not a big fancy corporate office or anything like that. Just a regular room where we keep our tools and spare parts. Most of the folks who come in are just locals from around the Waghbill area who need a screen fixed or some software looked at because it is acting up again. We try to keep things simple. If a machine is old and not worth fixing, we usually just say so. There is no point in people wasting money on something that is going to break again in a week. Sometimes the traffic on G B Road gets really bad, so we might be a few minutes late opening up, but we are usually around. It is just honest work. We have seen all kinds of gadgets come and go over the years. Anyway, that is pretty much what goes on here. We just stay busy with the hardware and try to get things back to people when they need them.
