Pansy Furniture

Our place is located over at Chamunda Complex, right near the Kasheli Bridge. It’s a bit out of the way on the Bhiwandi Road, but we have plenty of space there to work. We mostly spend our time making wooden furniture like beds, cupboards, and tables for regular houses. It is more of a workshop than a store. There is almost always sawdust on the floor and that strong smell of wood polish hanging in the air. We don't have a big showroom with air conditioning or fancy lights. You basically just walk in and see whatever we happen to be building that week. Sometimes we have a few finished pieces ready to go, but other times we are just busy finishing a big order for someone in the neighborhood. My brother and I handle all the work and the orders. It gets pretty loud because of the saws and machines, but that is just part of the job. We moved here because the rent was much better than being in the main part of Thane. It can be a long drive if the traffic is bad near the bridge, but people still manage to find us. We use solid wood whenever we can get it. We don't have catalogs to show you. If you want a chair, we just show you a chair we built yesterday. It is straightforward work and it keeps us busy from morning until sunset.
