You can find us at Unit Number 3, B-34 in the M.I.D.C. area of Badlapur East. Being in an industrial zone means there’s always something going on around us. There are trucks coming in and out of the complex all day long. Inside our unit, we deal with various chemical products. It’s a very specific kind of environment. We have to wear boots and sometimes masks depending on what we’re moving around that day. The shelves are packed with containers and everything has its own label, though things get a bit messy when we’re busy. We’ve been at this location for a while now. The building is solid, though the monsoon rains always make the roof sound very loud. We have a small office area tucked away from the main floor where we handle the billing and orders. Omkar Speciality Chemicals Ltd. isn't a huge operation, but we stay very busy. The workers here are mostly from the local area. We share a lot of the same stories about the commute on the local trains. Lunch is usually a quick affair so we can get back to the floor. It’s hard work and it can be quite tiring by the end of the shift. We just focus on getting the drums loaded and the shipments ready for the morning pickups. It's a routine that works for us, even if the days are long and the work is heavy. We keep a log of everything that comes in and goes out.
