New Bombay Stone Supplying Co.

Our shop is Number 3 in the Sector 3/4 Market in Vashi. It is a busy little corner where we keep all the stone supplies. You can usually find me or one of the guys moving heavy slabs around or talking to contractors. The ground is always a bit white from the stone dust, no matter how much we sweep. We have been in Vashi for many years now and have seen the market change a lot. People come to us when they are building a house or fixing up a kitchen. We have different kinds of stone, some rough and some smooth, just piled up. It is heavy work and my back feels it at the end of the day. We don't have a showroom with bright lights. It is just a practical shop in the market where you can see the real material. Sometimes the delivery trucks have a hard time parking in the crowded market streets, so we have to move fast. We don't bother with fancy advertising. People just know where Shop No. 3 is. It is a straightforward business; we sell stone, we load it up, and that is that. We have seen a lot of neighbors come and go, but we are still here in the same spot. It is a bit noisy with all the market sounds, but it is a good place to be. We just do our work and go home.
