Navsanjivani Farmer Producer Company

We operate out of Bhokardan, specifically at the place of Sheshrao Deorao Shanekopada. This company is basically a collection of local farmers from around the area who decided to join forces. We all face the same problems every year, like the price of fertilizer going up or the rain coming at the wrong time. By working as Navsanjivani, we can at least face those problems together. We don't have any big mission statements or anything like that. We just want to get through the season and hopefully have something to show for it at the end. The work is physically demanding and there are no holidays on a farm. Most of our meetings happen while we are sitting on the ground or in the back of a truck. We discuss things like which seeds worked best last year and where we can sell our grain this year. It is a very simple and direct way of doing business. We are not interested in sounding like a big corporation because we aren't one. We are just neighbors in Bhokardan trying to make the most of our land. If you visit, you won't see any reception desks or water coolers. You’ll just see people who know how to work with their hands and who care about their crops. It’s a tough life sometimes, but we are used to it and wouldn't have it any other way.
