Our office is tucked away at No. 196 Khambekar Wadi, inside the Laxmi Niwas building. It is right across from the Saraswati Marathi School on M.G. Road in Naupada. You can almost always hear the kids playing during recess or the school bells ringing, which is actually kind of nice to hear. It keeps the day from feeling too quiet or lonely. The building is one of those older Thane structures with a lot of character, though the stairs can be a bit of a climb if you are carrying boxes. Inside, we have our setup with all the usual tech gear and mismatched chairs. It is not a very big space, so we are all sitting pretty close to each other. We have been here for a while and the locals in Naupada know us well enough by now. We do not have a receptionist or a big lobby area for guests. Usually, if you walk in, you will just see us busy at our desks. M.G. Road is always busy with traffic, so there is a lot of noise from the street, but we have learned to tune it out. We just focus on the tasks we have for the day. It is a practical way to work and it suits us. We do not use a lot of big words or try to sound more important than we are. We are just a team of people doing our work from a small corner of Thane.
