National Services

We’ve been here at Mauli Apartment in Sector 5 for quite a while now. Shop number 39 is tucked away near the Datta Mandir, which most people around Airoli know pretty well. It’s just a regular spot where we handle things day by day. Sometimes the fan makes a bit of noise and we forget to fix it because we’re busy with other stuff. People stop by when they’re headed to the temple or just walking through the sector. It isn't a fancy office with glass walls or anything. There’s a lot of paperwork on the desk and sometimes the tea guy from next door forgets our order. We started out just wanting a place to work from that wasn’t too far from home. The traffic near the mode can get a bit much during the evenings, but that’s just how it is here. Most of the folks who come in are locals who live in the nearby buildings. We don't really do big ads. Usually, someone just tells their neighbor about us and they wander in. The sign outside is a little faded from the sun, but it still says National Services clear enough. We spend most of our mornings getting the registers ready and checking what needs to be done. It’s a quiet life for the most part, except when the festival crowds start moving through. We just keep the door open and see who comes by.
