Deccan Outdoors

Our place is up on the third floor of the Zozwala Shopping Complex in Kalyan City. We are in room 302, which is right above the Ramdev Hotel. You can often smell the food cooking from the hotel in the afternoons, which makes us all hungry. The complex is always buzzing with people coming and going. Sometimes the elevator is out of order, so we have to climb the stairs. It’s a good workout, but it’s a bit much when we are carrying heavy outdoor gear. Our office is filled with backpacks, tents, and various trekking supplies. It’s a bit of a mess sometimes, especially when a new shipment arrives. We spend a lot of our day checking equipment and talking to people about their upcoming trips. The windows in our room look out over the busy streets of Kalyan. It’s a very urban view for a business that’s all about the outdoors. We have an old wooden table where we spread out maps and plan routes. The light in the office is a bit dim, but we have some desk lamps that help. Most of us have been living in this area for years, so we know the shortcuts to avoid the worst traffic. We aren't a big corporation. We are just a local spot where people can get what they need for their adventures. It’s a simple, honest setup.
